1993 GMC C 2500 Clicking Noise

I have the 10 second clicking noise behind glove box door that happens after starting or shutting off truck or when changing vent positions. I saw the clothes pin fix but has anyone come up with anything else? I have air conditioning so I do not want the bottom door to be open in summer. Bruce
