Transmission?

I have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 41TE transmission, I have been having problems with it not recognizing Park and Neutral. I took it to the shop (after my dad tried fixing it) and they replaced the Neutral Safety Switch. $360 later, when I picked up the van today they said they had the same problem. I need to leave in the morning so I was kind of stuck into leaving with the same problem I started out with. Anyone have any ideas what else this could be?

Re: Transmission?

Does the van crank and start okay, or is it the display on the cluster that is the problem? It does not have a neutral safety switch it has a transmission range sensor. If it cranks and starts in only park and neutral then more than likely that is not the issue. You could have a communication prblem between the PCM and cluster, or a cluster issue. The wiring diagram will show you what I am talking about.
