'08 Silverado Power locks

I decided to buy the truck I've been looking at and am now trying to get it set to my likes and one of the things I liked about my 99 was the fact that I could program the locking system so that it only came on when I wanted them to.I tried last night to set the locks on my new truck like I wanted but from what I've read in the owners manual plus from what I've seen with going through the setting procedure there are only 2 ways the power locks can be programmed.Neither way is to my liking,I want to be able to defeat the auto locking system all together but it appears that I have to either set them to lock when the tranny is shifted out of park or when the vehicle speed reaches 8km/h.
Is there no way to shut off the auto door locks on these trucks?I don't live in an area where I have to worry about being car jacked or any of that nonsense so I'd like to be able to program the locking system so that I have the control whether the doors lock or not.Surely someone has come up with or knows how the program the door lock system on the nnbs trucks.
