I'm not quite sure, if there weren't further changes of XP4...
In case you didn't have them - XP4's original interior:

Thanks

Btw: that shade of grey used on the original XP4 is an awesome colour!

Re: McLarens - now and then

Where did we get that chassis # from? I was told it was a 96 car, thus making it 049

I clearly need to get back in the game

The chassis plate was finally photographed at the Silverstone LMS event last year. Here's the thread:

Re: McLarens - now and then

I created this sort of "Jekyll & Hyde" graphic the other night, and added this thread to the "Best of the Best" thread stickied at the top of the forum per Björn's request.

Even for me it is pretty surprising to think that those are the very same car. What a transformation!

Also figured I'd bump the thread as a reminder it is here in case anyone has something else to contribute.

I don't really want to jinx myself here, but I believe I may be close to getting some original images of #023 in its British Racing Green paint and I'm pretty excited about that prospect.

Chassis #006 has also supposedly gone 'under the knife' with a refit/respray. Hopefully it surfaces somewhere soon. From what I have heard recently it may not end up where I first expected it to so who knows when and where we will see it?

Wondering if we should add the interior changes to #007 and #016 here? Of course right now there aren't great photos of either one yet. The first of those will resolve itself quite quickly, but the other one might not be seen again for a while.

With the original owner of #046 posting here, I had hoped for some pics of it in its original blue...

That would be really great!

Why not? We also list 003 (interior), 028 (rear wing) and 070 (rims)...

Btw: all posts in here have been updated just recently.

Not your fault of course, but you might wish to update the 'then' photo with one of these instead.

And in a matter of weeks #040 will need a new entry too.

Re: McLarens - now and then

I'm confused. Are you saying that hurstg01's "then" photo is not #040?

Re: McLarens - now and then

Correct. It's actually Ron Dennis' F1 - chassis #050.

Can someone add #006, update #040 and bring back the "now" pic of #059 please?

Thanks
