Oil Types
Time for an oil change in my sonoma v6 which has 150K on it. No leaks anywhere or out of the ordinary stuff. Would it be better to use a synthetic or an oil for high mileage engines? For example only, castrol high mileage or castrol syntec?
thanks

Re: Oil Types
Either one will work, syn. has a slight advantage for longer intervals and better flow in cold weather.

Re: Oil Types
Reason I ask is cause you hear alot about high mileage vehicles benifiting from a "high mileage" oil which is supposed to have certain properties strictly made for older vehicles. Seal conditioners, detergents, etc. Of course the benifits of synthetics are there also. Friction reduction, cold weather starting, etc. Whats better for my engine is what concerns me the most.
