BMW E30 Coupe Fujimi (with engine and a lot of improvements)

Let me show the process first

- Add engine room with resin SR20DET (very popular engine swap for E30 in Thailand)
- Wheel wells from Revell Z1

- Made hood hinge myself from scrap parts

- Raised roof about 2 mm and reduced B-pillar width
Before

After

- Rebuilt kidney with soldering rod (The stock one is too sharp)

- Corrected front bonnet bulge width, the old one is at yellow line position so I need to chop bonnet into 2 pieces and reduce width to move to red lines position

That's really cool. How do you get started with a project like that?

You have infinitely improved the Fujimi kit body! It looks very nice and accurate now. I like the E30 but seeing how Fujimi screwed up the body I have never been brave enough to try and correct the proportions. You did it beautifully!

Fantastic work and end result! The engine looks great! And I can confirm that the Fujimi kit has lots of errors as I am also in the process of modifying the Fujimi E30! See WIP here if you are inerested.

I have still got to do the bonnet though (not been brave enough yet!)

Good job and nice modifications

That's exactly the kind of tuned E30 we can see around here.

Excellent job of sorting out the dodgy shape. Nice style & mods too.

Very good stuff.

Did you use the standard kit glass or make your own?
