My 96 Z2.4 all of a sudden sputters

So my 2.4 '96 just started sputtering the other day when I started it up. I haven't had anything like that that I can remember. My plugs are only a few years old, my fuel filter has been changed just last year. I changed my oil a month ago. I have been googling a lot and get tons of different theories.

It sputters in idle and when driving slow in low gears.

As always any help would be appreciated.

Any way something like a code sensor would help? Do they have one and where would it plug?

The 16 pin connector is under the dash on the driver's side.....

Check engine light flashing? if yes, P0300 is set.....

Sounds like secondary ignition problem....but could be a fuel problem(pressure or injector problem)....vac leak....F/P regulator problem....etc.

The Cavs are notorious for having faulty instrument panels and my oil light occasionally comes on for no reason, even though my car doesn't burn or leak oil and I have changed it.

Any idea where I can get one of the diagnostic things I plug into that thing and how do I read them?
