I started to apply decals.

When I started this project, Tamiya had not released the 2005 season's gauloises version yet. Therefore, I used Tamiya's kit of 2005 Valencia version and prepared after market decal from Studio27. Studio27's decal was printed by cartograf.

But I found.....

The Studio27's decal was very disappointing.

The silver part of the stripe should be...

As I couldn't find the better solution, I bought another Tamiya kit of gauloises version.

In Korea, Tamiya's agent - Tamiya Korea - notified that they will not take order for additional decal in this case. Because I have never purchase gauloises kit from them.

The Tamiya's decal is very nice as usual. It is also printed by cartograf !

I hate this Studio27's decal but I can use the 'GAULOISES' mark instead of the 'GO!!!!!!!' mark from Tamiya.

I also started to paint engine. I hate this triple colored engine...

I will be able to add plugs and cables soon.

Thank you for watching.
I completely agree with you, is a big failure

Thank you. Very nice to hear that.

Little progress.....

Painted the muffler with silver and masked the weld lines.

Then... applied clear red and clear blue for heat stain, and blackened them with thin black.

However, it's not easy to stop at right point, and it became overkill again.

So......

I cannot but help painting it again.

But this time I chromed it instead of silver.

I set the muffler aside at this point for some rest......

Almost finished engine part. I will start to paint connecters soon.

Handle part.....

Front wheel.....

10801

Almost all parts are ready to assemble and I'll do tubling job next.

I hope you like this and any comment will be welcome.

Re: YAMAHA YZR-M1 2005 GAULOISES No.46

I started wiring.

Painted the connectors first.

As the gloss-black painted connectors are less obtrusive last time, I used 'steel' this time.

And scrape off the paint for better coloring.

Made a hole and insert a guide pin for correct positioning and clean adhesion.

After painted the rubber cap parts with flat-black and the ring with each color, glued each connector in correct position.

Finished wiring on the engine.

Some wire looks too thick. Maybe need to be changed.

I can put the engine on the chassis soon.

Thanks for watching and comments are welcome.
