Re: 1998 lumina ltz starting problems

one Problem, i think is away!, one cable from Battery to the starter was loose or what ever i fixit, now the engine ist starting. But the BIG other problem is that the Fuel Pump is running the hold time, ok if i turn the ignition key on "ON" the pump is running for about 5 second, if i start the engine, the pump is running the hold time. i dont know whats happend?

regards

andreas

Re: 1998 lumina ltz starting problems

There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Yes, the fuel pump should operate continuously when the engine is running. Without the pump operating there is no pressure to the fuel injectors, and the engine cannot run.
