I messed up with the japan flag decal

I tried to put the red circle decal when the airscope was already mounted and I destroyed it... the problem is that in the older version of this kit there is only one circular decal, and it cannot physically cover the whole area including the airscope!

I found some instructions from the newer version and there are 3 different decals to make that sun...

after the decal disaster i went on doing some other works...






I applied 0,7mm rivets on the steering wheel (I decided not to apply them on the body)




Radiator and water tank

First attempt to remake japan's rising sun: i used an autoadhesive plastic sheet to cut out this stencil

i added the exhaust and the accelerator wire




to give the illusion of the ceramic thermal covering on the exhaust i sprayed mat white from a distance




i also had to scratchbuild the middle support for the accelerator wire

I clear sprayed the body... as you can see I preferred not to exagerate in clearing it to give a rougher effect typical in 1960's racing...




I also recreated the original decals using photoshop and I printed them on a clear decal sheet
