Confusing brake problem

Occasionally brakes go right to the floor. Like there is no pressure. Have replaced the following over the last 4 months: front rotors and calipers, rear rotors and calipers, master cylinder, vacuum boost chamber, and brake line from master cylinder to rear wheels. ABS light goes on but computer lists the problem as driver’s side front sensor faulty. Does anyone have any idea what else I’m missing and why this keeps happening after all of those repairs? Thanks for any help.

If you are really really sure that the master cylinder is good...this is usually the ABS unit...this has been reported to cause pedal to floor issues that are intermittent..when slip is detected the ABS valves screw up..with the age of these vehicles go to the scrap yard to get a replacement..in the mean time remove the ABS fuse. this should prevent thiis from happening again ..you can do this to be sure it is this ABS pump component ..the box with all those fluid lines to from it.

j cAT - thanks for the advice about removing the fuse. Did that on Saturday and brakes have been fine since. Wish I had gone this route before replacing everything else. Live and learn.

remember I do not recommend this as the REPAIR ! Just a temporary band aid on the problem , and a troubleshooting aid , that will allow you to use the vehicle until you can get a scrap yard replacement..

buying new is too expensive...locating scrap yard unit , could take some time..

post back how this all works out .
