Very confusing electrical problem

I run a 1991 bmw 525i
Recently something strange has started to happen.
Driving along the computor goes off
Wipers do not work
Electric windows do not work
central locking does not work and when I pull over and stop the 4 ways come on. they stay on. this resolves itsefl after about ten minutes.
When parked the 4 ways go off, the computor is off at this time.
I have checked the fuses under the bonnett and can not for the life of my find anything wrong.

Any help? v urgent as its flashing at me right now!

Re: Very confusing electrical problem

As long as you don't have an "aftermarket" alarm system, first check the 80A fuse link next to the battery in the engine room. Your car was the last year to locate it there, it's under a small black cover with one to two 10g wires going into it at each end. The fuse link cracks, sometimes under the two screws that retain it to the box.

Re: Very confusing electrical problem

Eureka!
I have one, it looks intact but on twisting the box the 4 ways go on and off. The fuze wire looks intact but appears to be touching the plastic casing, what should I do?

I had the same problem. Renewal of the 80A fuse fixed it!
