99 cavalier Drive axle question
I am changing the wheel bearing in my 1999 cavalier. The problem I am having is getting the drive axle to come out of the hub. Have tried tapping it with a punch like Haynes says, and I also tried the 2 jaw puller method they discuss. Neither worked for me. The drive axle still won't budget. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: 99 cavalier Drive axle question
as long as you have taken the big nut off and the three bolts on the back side of the bearing it should come off

Re: 99 cavalier Drive axle question
Done all that and the hub will still will not come off the drive axle. I can get the hub to separate from the knuckle, but that is it.
