Car shopping help please need some advice
Hey everyone im in the market for a new car i currently own a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L, I love my truck amazingly much but its just the gas prices are killing me
. So i have been doing some research and i have my search down to 3 different vehicles and I can not decide its killing me. So i was hoping to maybe get some expert advice on what to chose? ![]() Okay so my first choice would be a second generation Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel. Its pretty much the same exact thing i have now just with a diesel engine, which I always wanted. And the mpg isnt horrible either, but im just worried about the diesel prices ![]() my second and pretty much third choice would be either a Fourth gen Camaro Z28 most likley a V8 but i havent said no to the V6. And a 1995 or up Trans AM Firebird. I knida like the Firebirds body style a little more than the camaro but could use some expert advice =]. they both get around the same MPG which is both amazingly better than my current truck and the diesel. please help me i could use the any advice really some anyone =/ Thanks =] |

Re: Car shopping help please need some advice
Do you need a truck?
Do you need to sell your 2001 truck to afford the new vehicle? Imho the best deal is to keep the 2001 and buy the car as well. Use the car for daily use, and keep the truck around for hauling stuff. I do this, I keep an older truck (rarely driven, with terrible mileage) for times when I need a truck, but usually drive a car. If you have to sell the 2001, then ask yourself how many times a year do you really need a truck? If you only need a truck a few times each year, get the car, and just rent a truck when you need one. As for choosing between the Camaro or Firebird.......... they are very similar. Buy the best one you can afford, regardless of which model it is. |

If you think the gas price is killing you. Wait for the costs of taxes, interest on a loan, increased license fees ? and increased insurance costs hit you.
