Wanted Miniature Springs
Hi friends,
Where can I find miniature springs? I would use this type of accessories in the detailed of model motorcycles and model cars engines (1/25 to 1/6 scale models). I know how I can simulate a spring, winding a fine wire. But I want something more realistic and nothing like a real spring. For example: ![]() ![]() Very thanks! Ed

Re: Wanted Miniature Springs
Hi!
Tuner Model Manufactory (make) sell different springs for example T2M-2015-E 1.45mm*150mm*5PCS also they have 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.1, 1.3 mm, if You want I can make more detailed photo (I have all of them). Also You can take it from 1/12 moto details, for example Top studio Hobby design

Re: Wanted Miniature Springs
I like to go down to the model railroad shop and get the springs they use for the automatic couplers. They are compression sings so they already look like they're under tension. And they're cheap!

Re: Wanted Miniature Springs
Hi Ed,
if size can match your needs, Tameo Kits release some 1/43 F1 damper springs and full shock absorbers including springs, but they are springs for that purpose and don't really match Moto GP exhaust springs for example without a bit of work. items are: PG01: springs PG17: Shock absorbers type "C" PG16: shock absorbers type "B" logically (but I don't have it in hands) PG15 should be type "A" and I believe there also a "D" type under PG18 ref. If you need I can take pics, or try to measure the springs. Feel free to ask. |
