91 Grand Prix 3.1 PCV and another question.

91 Grand Prix 3.1 -couple questions

First things first. Where is the PCV valve located on this car? Near the power steering reservoir? Or is it on the other side? Im looking around the intake but I must be blind.

Also, there are like 160K or something like that on my wifes car, this Grand Prix. It runs like a champ usually, but it gets little glitches every once in awhile. It doesn't even seem to run all that rough, but it'll suddenly just stall out, but it will just fire up with no problems. If I feel like its going to stall, I'll just give a little extra weight on the gas when at an intersection and its fine. I'll have to check the spark plugs and things like that but maybe there is a common issue out there that I haven't read about. I was going to start small and work my way up. Thanks for any help in advace!

EDIT: I did put on a new catalytic converter (ready fit) not long ago so that should be eliminated. ( I think )

Re: 91 Grand Prix 3.1 PCV and another question.

you are not blind, as your PCV valve is conveniently (ahem...cough) located in the center of the rear valve cover under the intake manifold runners. Yeah, really easy to get to....NOT!!!!

As for the stalling issue, I would check for vacuum leaks, carbon buildup on the IAC valve, and the condition of the plugs and wires. Your attack plan of starting simple with normal maintenance parts is a good idea, then work your way from there.
