"free" mods, intakes, etc

I've tried doing some searching , but haven't really found what I am looking for. I come from the 3000GT/Stealth world where I have spent the last 9 years, so the GP is still new to me.

In the Mustang world, 3/S world, and several other makes there is always the so called free mods. Something as simple as removing something from the factory to free up horsepower. Does anything like that exist in the GP world? I guess first off I should note this is for a 2007 Grand Prix GT.

I'm not trying to be a cheapass, I just want to do some little things along the way. Well, that and I drained my savings account to put the down payment on the GT and I've had several dental appointments recently which has helped drain my checking.

I have been looking at some intakes as well. I'd like to free up some airflow and make the supercharger breathe better. Is there any particular intake you guys recommend? Honestly, if I can find a cheap Ebay intake that works I can go that route. I'd use the arm, and toss the filter. I work for a company that makes performance air filters so I could get whatever size/shape cone I want. Unfortunately they don't make an intake kit for the GP, just a drop in filter. Maybe I can convince them to make one and make my car the guinea pig.

Any advice is welcome. Even if it just links me to another thread I failed to find.

Thanks

I thought you weren't interested in the supercharged grand prix???

As far as free mods go, nothing is "free". You can look through ZZP articles, there are some "free mods" in there. Some of us have done some. I myself haven't.
