Tamiya TEXACO Marlboro

What are the differences between the reissued Tamiya McLaren M23 and the older Texaco Marlboro version? Is it only the decales?

Re: Tamiya TEXACO Marlboro

Does anyone know if the Marlboro decals are available for the re-issued Tamiya kit?

It's the same kit. The only things that have changed are tobacco laws and some lawyer types that don't want their logos on decals for plastic toys...

I found these decals

http://www.hlj.com/product/MCLDC-291

I do not know however if they replace the original Texaco-Marlboro ones.

Strange.... race car kits with Rothmans and JPS are filling the market and no one complains. Before you get me wrong, I do not drink nor smoke.

The kits do not come with all the decals, (like tobacco and in some cases, the tire manufacturer) but the decals are available from third parties.
