a/C pressure switch

My A/C cut out yesterday on my 96 T/C. I just got around to check it this afternoon. Static pressure was 100 lbs with the ambient temperature of 88 degrees F. The a/c compressor did not kick in, so I jumped the pressure switch and the compressor kicked in, low side at 38 lbs, high at 250. Went up to Autozone and purchased a new switch.
The problem I have now is the replacement switch prongs are not the same as the old switch, bought an other one at Advanced Auto, same thing. I can always switch the wires around in the plug and make it work, but something is telling me there is something else going on, not sure what though. Any advise?

Re: a/C pressure switch

Send me a picture of the tops of your switches. I have a bunch of them. I'll see if I have the correct one.

Re: a/C pressure switch

Thanks for the offer J Y Doggie. I couldn't wait (living in FL) so to the Ford dealer I went for the right switch. Auozone and Advanced auto part only listed one pressure switch which was the high pressure switch not the low side which I asked for.
