Re: 2001 Silverado Rear Rotors

On my 2005 2500hd with 75,000mi, I'm on my third set of rotors. I even bought NAPA Ultra premium to replace the originals and 2years later they were shot. They rust on the back side to the point they can't be turned. The pads still have 3/8" material left, but who's going to put used pads on new rotors. The NAPA rotors were $92 each, the last set I put Autozone rotors on @ $37. I don't mind paying more for better quality, but I didn't see it buying the NAPA rotors. Oh yeah, I don't tow or haul anything either.

advance auto has lifetime warrantee on caliper/rotor/pads..only buy once..

on a vehicle I worked about 5yrs ago after 3yrs pads still good rotors rusted bad brakes pulsed because of the rust ..got all new cost zero ..even the pads..need receipt !

so last year I got [my silverado] all lifetime warrantee..so far no problems ..rotors have little rust ..
