My 2002 Santa Fe rear brakes squeek, but not when applying brakes, when the brake is released. I've had a couple garages check it out, and they say there is corrosion on the rotor rubbing (not the braking surface itself) and that resurfacing or replacing would fix it.
This is a 4WD we tow with. Should I replace both rotors together? Or can I get away with just one? (I'm replacing the pads on all four wheels.) |

Re: 02 Santa Fe Rear Rotors, replace 1 or both?
You need to replace rotors in pairs (same axle). Failure to do so could result in uneven braking ability between the two sides.
That could be a scary situation, especially when towing. If these are original rear rotors on this 2002, you definitely got your money's worth out of them.Joel
