vacuum and compression testing 3.1L

Is there a capped off service port somewhere on the intake manifold where I can attach a vacuum gauge? If not then something I can remove and install a T fitting I guess.

I also need to compression test this engine. Any tips on how to screw a guage into the back of this engine would be greatly appreciated. I had a terrible job changing the plugs even with the engine rotated so expect to spend hours getting the gauge in one hole. Maybe the engine will move forward more than I had it. Can I leave the engine rotated forward and run the starter to do the tests or will I need to reposition the engine and dogbones?

Re: vacuum and compression testing 3.1L

The should be a port on the engine if not use the power brake hose with a reducer to the gage. You can rock the engine and still crank it over, the rear are problematic no matter what with the gage hose making bends.
