Question 2.4 cam actuator valve change

I have an 06 hhr with 138,000 miles. Recently the check engine light came on and the traction lock stayed on. The code came back as a bank 1 cam actuator valve low voltage. I purchased both valves and I need to know which cam is intake and which is the exhaust as the valves are specific ( although they look identicle ).

Re: 2.4 cam actuator valve change

they are the same. they work from oil pressure. they are right on top of engine. 10mm bolts. probably will have to use pliers to remove and twist out. a lot of times the screens fall off. double check that, also if there is any debris on screens make sure you change the oil and filter!
