96 lumina wont start

I recently purchased a 96 lumina when I put the key in it dings. And d the fuel pump starts clicking. It continues to clicking as long as the batterys hooked up regardless. Of wether or. Not I have the key in. Once I turn key to the on possition dinging stops and clocks comes on flashing but. Insterment. Panel does nothin at all . Turn signal and windshield wipers also fail to work as well as auto locks.bits as if I have no battery on but batterys new. When I try cranking still nothing. plz. help

no lights at all come on except clock on radio gauges dnt wrk either

Look for blown master fuses under the hood or bad cable connections, to start with.

Checked all fuses and relays they're good connections seem fine as well

Fuel pump shouldn't click. You are hearing relay chatter, maybe?

Its kind of a clicking sound I thinks its the fuel pump not sure not the one in the tank its connected to the trottle body

Sounds like the IAC motor chattering or something.

You may just have a bad ground...try hooking a jumper cable from the neg side of the battery to something bare metal on the engine and see what it does....

Did that and got sparks... also replaced starter now when I hook up battery I get sparks and starter spins.. short somewhere?

The ignition switch itself.... from your first post it sounded like you were getting weird issues by just inserting the key without turning it.
