Question 68 Skylark Tranny

I have a st300 2 speed tranny and would be interested in swapping up to a 3 speed.
The engine is a 350 2 bbl. Its a base model hardtop body.
Does anyone know if there is a tranny that will do a direct swap, or would it just be easier to rebuild the st300? It slips really bad now. My wife bought me the car for xmas last year. I have replaced the drum brakes with discs, replaced the entire fuel delivery system front to back, and have the engine running like a top now that I changed the points, plugs and wires and learned the right way to set dwell. It will be a hoot to have on the road more often once I fix tghe tranny. Can't cruise it now, I'm concerned the tranny will give up the ghost when I'm far from town! Any advice on the tranny would be appreciated!

Re: 68 Skylark Tranny

Check with the major performance rebuilders, a 350 trans may fit with a different flywheel, convertor and crossmember, common swap it seems.
