Brake Line Leak

How do you replace the rear brake line on a 96 chevy impala ss? I bled the brakes and have a leak in the rear.

Re: Brake Line Leak

You can buy made up lines of different lengths, measure the routing and length and replace it, do not let the m/c run dry doing this as you may have the get it on a special scanner the bleed the abs unit.

since I own this vehicle , yes I too had this blow at the driver side rear axle area. I replaced a section of this line that was bad rather than the complete line . this is because the bad area was only around the left rear wheel...

to do this the old existing line must be good where you cut in the new section. also you must use a double flare tool with the proper fittings..
