Opinions wanted on the next kit to do...

Hey all,

I just wanted to see what you guys thought on what to do next. All would be about the same price when all aftermarket goodies are bought, so it's pretty equal in that respect. Here are the kits I'm considering:

1/25 C6R Scale Motorsports LeMans Vette
1/24 Revell Audi DTM
1/24 Porsche 911 GT1 CF Test Version

I like all three equally. The 'Vette just came on my radar recently, as my LHS got one in. I examined it and the extras are awesome in that kit. I've heard the tooling on the DTM cars are above average for Revell and the 911 GT1 speaks for itself. I wanted to get a vote and see what your opinions were as to which should be done next?

(Please--this is just for fun, nothing serious please!)

Thanks!

Daniel

The Corvette looks awesome when complete and would probably be my first choice. However I saw the Revell Audi DTM built up on another forum and it looks equally as good. I still think the Corvette would just nudge it into first place though, in my opinion...

All of them. These have actually been on my "to buy" list for a while. But haven't bought them as they are a little expensive.

You can't go wrong with the sms corvette, mattew at sms is such a reliable person. And his products are great. It would look cool with the bad boy decals, or the ones reniassance made for the vette. The wheels that come in the kit are turned really good. I really just wanted to buy that kit for the wheels!!

But i think you should really build the audi dtm, if you wait scale production is going to be releasing the r8 gt3 soon. Can't wait and good luck.

I'd vote for the DTM machine as #1, then C6R (gotta have the Bad Boys decals, though ) as #2, and then the 911 test version #3.

I'd go with the Revell Audi, i bought the four new DTM cars when they came out and they look pretty good, few flaws but nothing too major. The Audi could benefit from a photoetched front grill though

Anyone know if someone like Hobby Design or other manufacturers are going to do any detail (pe) sets for the DTMs?

Blue Stuff (aka Dexter models) will produce PE parts, maybe also one part wheels and decals.

I'd bet $$$ that Hobby Design or similar companies would make PE sets for them.
