Unhappy Radio Help

My Factory stero was stolen out of my 95 firebird and the wiring harness was cut. I bought a used radio out of a Grand Am ( same radio ) and rewired it but the radio is working anybody help me with a reason why and maybe advise me what to do Thanks!

Ummm, if it's working what's the problem?

I'm assuming that was supposed be isn't working. Are you not getting any power at all? The GA radio, like the one from your 'bird should have a theft lock code that needs to be entered into it.

Sorry about that no it isn't working . I know that it has the theft lock on it and plan to take it to a dealer to get it unlocked but I don't have any power (lights nothing ) to it Thanks !

Possible you made a short to ground while working on the wires, check the fuses.

I'll check the ground wire..... I checked all the fuses and they were all okay. I'm supposed to have somebody look at it Monday.....This really sucks, nothing is every easy ! Thanks !
