Renault 5 Turbo Tamiya

I started this model some days ago. Decals are yellowed and I bought a new decal sheet from Renaissance.

Renaissance decals arrived but they are out of scale. I had to cut 2 milimeters in the side stripes to fit. On the hood I had to cut in 5 pieces and carefully place to fit right.



But it's looking good so far:

I'll have to repaint some black areas because the decals didn't fill the entire area.

Looks great so far, I am restoring an old one of these that I built when it was originally released 25 odd years ago! I also bought the Rennaisance more correct deeper dish tarmac spec Gotti wheels and I think the tarmac spec suspension is lower than that included as standard in the kit so will need some mod's. Looking forward to more progress!
