Aston Martin DBS Tamiya 1:24

I decided to start ( yes I know another one ) this kit. First I clean body from molds.

Now is ready to primer:

Like You see molds are removed without using putty:


And colour - Gunze Steel:

That's a nice colour and paintwise, it seems to spray on really smooth. Even in this bare form, the DBS really has got beautiful lines.

Hi looking good so far , should have mine finished by tuesday . does anybody know what the clear plantpot shapedparts are for ? as they are numbered but not on the instructions

Haha... finally caught that. I scratched my head a bit wondering the same thing.

Weird that they include them. I wonder what they're planning? They kind of remind me of wheel center hubs or at least wheel hub spacers.

They are pedestals so that the model can be bolted down to a base / plinth. If you look inside the floorpan, there are three moulded in areas that will hold a nut, but the actual holes are blanked off (i.e. the builder would need to drill them out if required).

I´m guessing that those are there for the builders of the "masterwork collection". Tamiyas own factory finished model line.
