Re: tranny question

If you have an ECT button on your dashboard, you have an A140E. If not, you have an A140L

ohhh ok..awesome. thanks. i know you've probably answer one of my questions before but what what would cause my transmission to act like it skipps a gear?. it has a mind all its own, i.e. 1st gear works like it should but when it shifts it seems like a serious loss in gearing. as if it seems to shift from 1st straight to third. the fluid level is as it should be. but im no mechanic. is there any obd type tool i can plug in and check to see if a code pops up?

Re: tranny question

If the color of the fluid on the dipstick is not a dark ugly milky brown, have the transmission flushed. If the fluid is a bright red, then don't bother. Anything between these two colors should get flushed.
