Datsun 510 - Old School Racer Style

Finally just about finished except for panel lines which I intend to do when the paint has had a few more weeks to harden. I am quite pleased with how it has turned out.

All comments welcome!

Re: Datsun 510 - Old School Racer Style

Very nice, I like that a lot! Lovely paint finish!

May be a dumb question, but who makes the kit ? (not very up on Japanese cars, but this one is from my favourite era!)

That is just sweet! The stance is perfect, the paint finish is perfect and the seats actually look like leather!

Well Done!

Thanks for the comments, the kit is a Hasegawa Nissan Bluebird as in the picture below, I think it is out of production now though:

There was a lot of conversion work involved as you can see in the WIP thread here:

Excellent, nice clean result. The alterations work a treat and are very well executed. I Like the added details, including the wipers, mirrors, BMF and seatbelts. Looks like a proper track day weapon.

Re: Datsun 510 - Old School Racer Style

Excellent, clean build and I really like the look too; being a bit more reserved, but purposeful.

I hope to achieve similar results one day as I continue to practice on my own builds.
