Re: Would these fit?

Yeah the 18s I have on right now are pretty quiet and handle wonderfully, but then again its my first pair of asian tires (yokohama). I will never go back to american. I tried Falken before and they were great, but my front tires were BFGoodrich that were pretty noisy.

Have you had any problems cornering up/down a slope and rubbing the wheel well? I had to modify my wheel wells, and with my springs sagging from age I'm starting to cut it close again.

Any chance you have a write up on the bumper mod? I'm pretty much finished modding the engine and looking for any good exterior mods.

Re: Would these fit?

No rubbing issues noticed yet, but I've only had these on since this morning so we'll see. Hopefully not.

No, I didn't do a write-up on the bumper mod, mostly because there was no plan at all, I just kinda made it up as I went with a lot of help from my auto-body talented mad scientist brother. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend doing what I did because the fiberglass, bondo, and bumper plastic don't flex/expand in unison with temperature changes so slight cracking is starting to come out. If I ever get to it, the best thing to do would be to make a mold of this bumper and then fab an entirely fiberglass bumper which I would really like to do some day. I also want to make a matching front bumper too like the one they have on pfyc. I've never seen a modded GTP rear bumper so I thought it'd be a neat, unique thing to try. To get the scoop to fit though I had to cut out a square from the sheet metal behind the bumper. Not a big deal at all, but you need a decent disc cutter to do it.

Here's some more bumper shots (I don't know why I left the trunk popped for the pic. lol.):

I went to the junk yard and got some honeycomb grill mesh from a Pontiac minivan and cut it to fit in the scoop holes. It turned out pretty good. You can barely see it in this pic:
