1/24 Maserati Boomerang

Hello everybody! My name is Olivier and I'm new here.
After countless nights spent burning my eyes on the beautiful builds displayed on this board, here is my humble contribution.

I built a lot of models (mostly warbirds) when I was a child, never achieving good results as I was always rushing my builds.
After 20 years away from modeling, I thought it was time to see if I could do better.

But let's stop talking about me, here is the model : Heller 1/24 Maserati Bommerang. This kit was offered to me a looooooong time ago and staid for ages on a shelf.
It's a curbside kit, which has a place to put batteries under .

Return to building was kind of hard, had to paint and strip it 3 times, but the result looks correct to me.

Welcome and nice job! I haven't finished a model in a couple of years and there is definitely a learning curve each time I return to building. But its a fast one, don't worry!

It's true that I learned a lot with this kit, but I still have a lot to learn to match the quality of most of the builds here. By chance, I have a bunch of kits waiting on the workbench, so I should learn fast

Beautiful build of a rather strange subject. Rare kit, I've never seen one built. You did a great job, especially the paint and trim looks flawless. One thing, though. The wiper doesn't touch the windscreen, really. Hope there won't be to much rain.

Yeah, you're right for the wiper. It was the best one I could find in my PE stock, as there's no wiper included in this kit.

The only problem is that the boomerang as a very flat windshield unlike most cars, so it's hard to get something convincing. I'll try to bend it here and there to see if I can have a better fit.

Lokks good. I've built up one of these when i was younger, so i know the sadness of this Kit. Well built this model..
