Infiniti Bass Link????
Whats up everybody?
Just trying to find out some general info about the above mentioned product. I guess first off has anybody seen one in action and if so was it pretty good. Second is how would be the best way to hook it up if i was to get one while leaving the factory system in the car. I guess this would really apply to putting in any amp in the car while leaving the factory system alone. I guess it could be done with the speaker level inputs but since I have never used that method before i have no idea as to go about doing that. Any advice would be great. Just want a little more bass in the car and would like to preserve as much trunk space as possible. Also has anyone changed out the factory sub with anything and if so how did it affect the sound. Wow i'm full of questions today. One more off the subject of stereo's is how do i take the air silencer off of the factory intake and will this make any difference what so ever. Trying to save some money for an AEM cold air intake. I guess that is all just let me know what ya can thanks |

well, as far as the silencer goes....there is a tube coming from the air box and goes beside the battery into the bumper. with a little muscle that will pull off. basically disconnecting the silencer. this won't enhance your performance one bit, but it does make the car sounds amazing.
as far as the infinity thing. i'm not sure about the product you're talking about, but i have a 12" infinity kappy perfect in my trunk in a q-logic sealed enclosure. and let me tell you, that thing bumps. and doesn't take up that much space at all. to hook up an amp, you just have to use the high level imputs on the amp instead of rca's. the amp should come with little high level harnesses to hook up. won't sound as good as rca's, but will still bump. hope i helped ya out.

I will be purchasing a Basslink.
I have not heard them yet in a car. But, I have heard them in the store. They sound very good. They are not as loud, and don't pound as hard as a pair of 12's in a box. But, Basslinks, are nice clean sounding, and don't take up too much space. Plus they are pretty cheap considering they come with an amp in the same package. The biggest advantage is that you don't use up your whole trunk. They are nice and small.
I have been pricing them out. Circuit city and Best Buy have them for around $400. I have been watching Ebay for a while.. They usually go for a little over $200. I usually throw out a bid for about $150, and I figure eventually, I will get one for that. Good luck! |
