Re: Proof that when it comes to the F1, I am pedantic beyond belief...

Indeed - would be great to see more from Frank. He lit this place up! He's actually posted a few times though over the past couple of months to show snippets of the refit he's having done to #007. We're anxiously awaiting the final beauty shots now.

I probably forgot many more people though, and my apologies, but it's their fault for wandering off.

Good to see you man - I tried your old tvrfreak.com site the other day and it was gone. Maybe it has been that way for a while? You've still got www.mclarenfreak.com up and working, so that's cool to see even if it never achieved all that you hoped for it.

At least you have not gotten a Cease&Desist from McLaren yet!

The "what's new" portion of your question might be difficult to answer. Sort of like someone saying "What don't I know?" without any frame of reference for when they stopped paying attention. Nothing earth shattering is new in the McLaren world. One car did catch fire in Santa Rosa, CA in June of 2009 though - maybe you caught that piece of news as there were photos of it during and after? It was chassis #067, and to date there's no idea if it was damaged beyond repair or not. That's probably the biggest piece of F1 related news that has happened in the last 12 months or so.

Also, there is a pretty cool story and video with Herb Chambers and his F1 over here that might help you get your groove back.

Good to see you man!

I'm 99% sure that place isn't a dealer. I believe its a private collection and the cars aren't for sale. Someone i know went there and talked to the owner. Its pretty wild. He displays them all but i'm fairly certain its not an actual dealership

Also, do we know of 2 McLaren F1's in Singapore owned by the same guy? An article in the latest European car about some M5 tuning package mentions one of the guys' customers in Singapore has 2 F1's

EDIT: Confirmed. Private collection

Probably refers to #065 and #018 when they were there - both long gone of course.

There is still that red one at Malayan Motors, sitting forever.

Yes - the two cars mentioned were both at that dealership together - Automobil Manufactur. Lots of discussion in old posts in here.

Sometimes articles sit for a while before publishing, or people fail in their research.

Believe half of what you read, none of what you hear, right?

I like this topic

Don't forget the F1 is NA and is still (and for a moment) the queen in performances ! With Enzo for acceleration figures.

For me the Zonda is the little sister of the F1.

Which is the red one at Malayan Motors?

Is there a thread on it?

There is a thread on it, and you will want to read it, but let me keep looking for something else...

Mr hurstg01 found some pics of the car in an album on flickr and posted a link to them here, however I shuffled through the album and it appears the photographer has removed them, or I am a loser and can not find them.
