Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

I find the talk of Revell kits being warped interesting as I have never had a problem with any of their new kits.
Is it possible that the kits sold in the US aren't as "straight" as what we get in Europe?

The Revell 612 kit that BVC500 mentions is infamous for its warp issues

I think that majority (but not all) of the people I know who have built it have had problems with at least the hood and some with the chassis and tub also. I certainly did on both of my European made 612s.

The good news is they are relatively easy to fix.

Isn't that just making a bit more of a challenge to make it a good kit

Even I am waiting for the California kits.
They are still not availible.

Revell AG kits that are run for the US are actually molded in all-white plastic for the US; which is superior to the multicolor mess they seem to inflict on European buyers. My Revell AG 612 (Euro issue) had chassis warp issues. Knowing what to look for, it's pretty easy to rectify by the builder.

Problem w/the California, the designer (or whomever demanded the retractable HT) was warped. Can't fix what was baked in in the first place
