Thanks for posting this, Alex.

Looks good to me!
The fact that there will be an engine is great news.

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

Dear Alex,

Thanks for sharing this info with us. It seems to be a good product from the "panzers" of Revell OG.

Do you plan to build one? if so, once issued, can't wait to see your realization, that surely will be a masterpiece like all of your Ferrari.

We want to see a jewel like your Challenge Stradale!

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

One day, I will surely buy and build this one, or if maybe another company releases a better kit, I will built it. But I almost never build new kits because I simply have no time and there is always something else that needs to be finished first... So, no ETA, but one day!

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

Funny, I just checked the website a couple days ago for California updates, but there wasn't any. Until now! Looks good. I'm sure it will build up nicely like the 612. Did notice, though, that release pushed back to October.

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

Those molded exhausts really scare me and the engine isn't correct.

Probably end up buying multiple of each version though!

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

Yeah, the engine manifold cover is a little heavy handed, but at least its not completely wrong.

The California is available with 3 or 4 type of wheels. Wish Revell would have made a different set of wheels for the coupe and convertible versions.

Also, looks like Revell continues with its two-piece wheels...ugh. Why can't they put a little $ towards redesigning that aspect of their models??

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

I agree with you BVC500..I think that the solution of the 2 pcs wheels used by Revell is a shame..Surely it will be in this way.

The only one that have not this problem are the old Hasegawa (ROG reboxed) and the Revell coming from the Monogram world.

Honestly RevellOG lately is issuing some very interesting subjects (scaglietti,Fiorano, all the mustangs..) but WHEELS are ALWAYS a drama!!!

We should explain to the Herr Doktoren some things..

The Audi R10 kit didn't have 2 part rims.
I also remember that Revell stated something along the lines that they will stop making those shity 2 part rims.

Re: Pix of the upcoming Revell AG Ferrari California

The pictures sure don't look like it has 2 piece rims, and if they are, so what? The wheels/tires look fine. I didn't like the idea on my Superamerica, but in reality the combination looks quite good on the model, and at least Revell did the proper wheels for the SA vs. Fujimi using the standard Maranello wheels which the vast majority of SA's did not have.
