I assume you mean the reference pics well to be honest I don't know exactly where I got them all but mostly the ususal places like gurneyflap or the awesome guys here on the forum, as you can see in the last few posts... I just collected them from all over the web.

And since you brought the thread back to life I will post a little update too... I tried to finish the model for last years AFMOTY but couldn't get it done in time. I finished the chassis and the interior although I didn't add all the details I planned. I only added some wires + cable ties, CF and various bits here and there to make it look a bit busy...
So after being nearly completed I took another break from it because I was really pi**** because of the vacuform windshields. MFH uses a extremly soft clear plastic which will get scratches within seconds from looking at it . Polishing won't help, it will make it even worse...
I did cut them out and painted the black trim but I just didn't want to put them on because I though they will kinda ruin the whole build... And after seeing that Joachim scratchbuilt his clear window parts for the Gulf Aston, I was kinda hooked again (thanks Joachim ) and tried to get a similar material. I already received it and will try it soon.

I quickly took two pics of the finished chassis (ok the mobile still needs a little decal for the display but that's it ). They are not great, infact a bit blurry but better then nothing. I will post proper pics in the next and I guess final update!

And today I again spent about 5 hours on these stupid windows. To be honest this is the most annyoing task I ever did on any model I have ever built... I just can't get it right... I eventually came up with 4 decent parts (front, rear, 2 side windows). I scratchbuild them from a clear plastic which comes from a set called "Ever Clear Windshield Set". It is almost sratch resistant, thin and therefore perfect for the task. And since the DB-R 9 windows are not really complex, they can be scratchbuilt rather easy. So I cut them out and used the original kit parts as templates (that's all they are good for ). I already painted the black window trims but haven't had the chance to take pics...

The window masks are not included which leads to the next task... For the side windows you get some decals for the black trim which look horrible as Klutz showed in his WIP so I again only used them as a template, I cut the inner portion out and then used them as template to transfer them onto masking tape. One tip only use one template for both sides (just upside down), that will help to get similar masks...

The front and rear windows are even trickier since they don't have decals so what I did is I used the windows as a template and transfered the outline onto masking tape but that does not help much . The goal here is to have the outline but a couple mm smaller...
To achieve this I simply displaced the part a couple of mm on one side (compared to the "original" outline) and again copied the outline but only the one side. Then I simply repeated that for the other 3 directions/sides... I hope that makes sense

And this is what it looks like after a couple of minutes each time I try to make these damn windows...


I will post some pics of the hopefully finished windows tomorrow...

as promised some pics of the new scratchbuilt windows! I am quite surprised, they turned out good ... The tint on the front window is a bit dark but I won't start again... I still have to drill the holes in the side and rear windows (old school climate control, at this years Le Mans they need a air con to keep the temps under 32°C ) which could end in disaster again, wish me luck .

Hi Dennis
I just saw your efforts on the windshield and so on. Your table looks EXACTLY the same as mine when was busy with them!!!! It looked like that for almost ten f....... days!
