Revell BMW Z8

I fired up the digital camera again last night and dug out my Revell BMW Z8.

It's a straight-from-the-box buildup. The red is from Tamiya's spray can line. great stuff.

Thumbs up Z Great!

Great build on a less than stellar kit! Did yours need sink filling and a lot of mold line work like mine?:sun:

Thumbs up Nice. Very nice.

Proof positive that with a little TLC, that kit is a knockout. Gotta get mine rolling before the car's an antique!

Ever see a Z8 on the road? They're bigger than expected. And sound like a true muscle car. I want one.

Yeah, the kit has its problems. I didn't have too many mold line problems, but it does have some sink marks. There are a couple of vertical ones in the doors from stiffeners molded inside the body. The problem is they're really subtle -- I didn't catch them, even after the primer coat. They're not too obvious, thankfully.

I'd really like to do another one as the "The World is Not Enough" Bond car.

Thumbs up well done !

I have also this kit.but I observed that the windshield is too tall ěn comparison to the real one. Also the "star" of the wheels seems a bit small in the rims.

Yours is fantastic , super clean.Goo job

Thanks for your kind words, everyone.

I built this model for the "Workbench Reviews" section of FineScale Modeler magazine. If anyone's interested, the full text of the review is online at:
