I'm not too fond of revell making that kit, and to make it a curbside kit..ugh. I haven't seen it sell very well, but perhaps I'll give it a try one of these days.

Why do you guys always put down Revell?!?!?!?! Revell is Grade A Quality! Maybe this kit didn't come out so well, but what about all their other wonderful kits?

Unhappy I wish some people would stop knocking Revell

There have been many samples from Pman, ZoomZoommx5, Veyron, and myself that are based on the Revell kits that I think many of you have loved. I admit Revell is a bit less refined than a Tamiya, but the results end up the same if you can hone your skills over time.

I think there have been many debates over the manufacturers, but I think Revell kits are excellent and they include engines -even though they're not always accurate. Revell kits out number all the other manufacturers in my closet.

Just my 0.02 cents.

BTW Integra14, that Z8 would look a lot better if you add some panel lines with a wash and get a black paint marker to paint the windshield border. That silver is so bright, the body looks chromed out.

I have build the Z8 once for a friend and found it pretty straight forward. Maybe the quality issue is true for the less experienced modelers amongst us - don't know - but their recent products: this Z8, A-Class and S-Class are pretty good kits.

That said, the Z-8 you did looks good for a 3rd model. The remarks wkma7six indicated are true for me as well. If you could better those, you'll have a very fine model indeed. The front grill looks really cool!

Think of it this way those of you who think Revell is 2nd grade- it makes it more challenging and give you good modelling skills over time. But personally, i still prefer Revell (or Monogram) over the other kit manufactures because they almost always offer full engine detail. I just wish they would make more diversified kits. Long live Revell!
