All of the sudden, both my left and right turn signals don't work any more. The turn signal indicator lights on the dash don't come on, either, and it makes no clicking sound at all. However, the hazard lights still work.
I checked the fuse and it was good. I replaced the flasher unit under the dash near the steering column and still no joy. What else could it be? Thanks in advance for any help ![]() |

Re: '92 Regal Custom turn signals not working
Any bulbs burnt out? Otherwise it might be the actual turn signal switch behind the steering wheel, I think mine is starting to go because it only works when you have the signal lever in the exact right position. They run for about $100 on eBay.

Re: '92 Regal Custom turn signals not working
I didn't check the bulbs because the hazard lights still work so I didn't think that could be the problem.
I'll check out the turn signal switch. Thanks for your help. |

Re: '92 Regal Custom turn signals not working
The turn signal switch in your car is a very common issue. The contacts get worn and cause the turn signals to stop working. There are 2 different ones depending on if your car has the accessory controls on the steering wheel. It will require you to remove the steering wheel to replace.

Blinkers seem to work fine. Wipers work fine. Just the cruise control died. Would replacing the turn switch on mine get me my cruise back? I don't really need it, but want it to work if I ever have to sell the car. |

Re: '92 Regal Custom turn signals not working
Hi, I just wanted to let you guys know that I got the turn signals working now.
As it turns out, I had replaced the hazard flasher unit instead of the turn signal flasher. Once I realized my mistake, I replaced the correct one and that was all it took to fix the problem. I'm really glad it wasn't the switch ![]() Thanks again for all your help. |
