Fujimi "Watanabe" wheels may be what you're looking for, but they might be too wide for a Super 7, even the narrow set. I got mine from Hobbylink Japan.

Actually, Perry's Resin and Mini Exotics BOTH sell good resin sets of Minilite wheels for popular applications. The Perry's set is more suited to vintage Trans-Am cars than the Mini Exotics, but both are priced very reasonably and are easy to use.

Besides, anyone who knows vintage wheels knows Watanabes and Minilites are NOT interchangeable.

Re: HELP: Where to buy 1/24 Minilite wheels/tires?

I didn't suggest the resin stuff because it's 1/25 scale the last time I checked. They might look way too small on a 1/24 Super 7.

Anyway, you can decide for yourself.

Re: HELP: Where to buy 1/24 Minilite wheels/tires?

Found this old thread...
I have bought some trans am old american racing car decals by Fred Cady for my Cuda, Corvette, Mustang, Challenger, Camaro etc... Now i need some minilite wheels and slick tires. I prefer to give a fat look to my models so i'd like to find some sets with deep offset of rear wheels and large tires... some suggestions, images, links...?

Re: HELP: Where to buy 1/24 Minilite wheels/tires?

Revell has issued a '67 Vette coupe (Item #85-2050) based on their roadster. This kit, in 1/25 scale, features a nice set of mini lites. These are in the smaller scale but should look fine on the small Caterham in 1/24.

In your neck of the woods, try my old favorite King's Hobby for the kit. It will be around 16$ which may be less than buying aftermarket parts when you included shipping -- and for that you'll get a whole car.

For the front fenders I shaped them out of .015 brass sheet from K&S, also available at King's.

Robi got it.
I'm not sure about tires, you may have to make your own by sanding the tread off of some regular ones.

Re: HELP: Where to buy 1/24 Minilite wheels/tires?

The Lotus requires pretty small wheels/tires so it won't look like a cartoon. Any wheel made for a 1/25 scale American car can end up looking pretty huge on a Lotus. Especially those "big" Minilite wheels in an above Feebay auction, those would look absolutely stupid on a Lotus 7. The other ones may be more appropriate, but if they're meant for Trans Am cars, they'll probably look stupidly big on a Lotus 7 as well.

Fujimi's 14" Panasports are probably the best look and size for the Lotus.

Fujimi Panasports

Here they are on a 1/24 Frogeye:

Also be careful on bolt pattern. The Super 7 is 4 bolt and a lot of Minilites are 5 bolt. The Watanabe's can be gotten in 4 bolt.
