Re: McLaren F1-GTR "Gulf" LM'96, 1:24 Studio27

impressive!
I had to work with the "reverse engineering" catia's workshop when I was at school... and I can tell that it's a bit tricky to use...

How many time did you worked to arrive to that point on CAD?

Thanks

Olivier.

in case no one has mentioned it before, if you are going to end up supplying these as a kit in the future, I'd like to put my name down for at least 2...

I can't help you. I see my pics always. May be you have any lockup from some Russian sites? Do anybody not see the pics too? Please, tell me, and I shall place my fotos on Photofile.com again.
BTW Today I milled another one piece of a new body and it's the rear hood.

Tomorrow I want to mill a rear bumper. Catia and Powermill files are ready.

I just checked with a different browser and I can see them then, so it looks like Opera has a problem with that...

Anyway that looks great!

I think yes. Write me by Private Message.
BTW I milled some new parts. The rear bumper was corrected after milling and milled once more.

The rear left wing.

All together for now.

And a dry subassembly.

Re: McLaren F1-GTR "Gulf" LM'96, 1:24 Studio27

I've done a little work in Catia but I don't know that much about "Powermill".
I currently work in Solid Works and there is a 3D resin plotter available on the market (perfect for any type model). I assume that your doing a similar set up by uploading the 3D drawing to the machine tooling queue and then machining a resin block. Or if your doing something different please explain?

As for the changes and modifications you are correct that doing them in a 3D model is about as accurate as you can get. Plus any changes can be "test fitted" in you computer model!

Keep up the great work!

I forgot to post this link. It's an F1 I took pictures of a few years ago and hopefully you can use them.
