Thanks Greg,

I think the shot above was done for a Shell promotion.

You better have a couple more then!!

These have been clipped from Autosport magazine.

This one, is for our very good friend Roger.

You are correct - a Shell commercial - there's a small comment about this in "Driving Ambition". I made a version of this shot from the tiny thumbnail found in DA once - I'll have to see how it compares when I get home.

Pretty funny though - putting petrol in a car that has no engine.

Re: The Clinic Model Thread

Here's (my) version of the gas pump image - you get reasonable results enlarging it in Photoshop, but it's not much better than the one Le Man shared.

Two More...

From "The Supercar: An Evolution of Speed." This is well worth picking up, for those [one or two] who don't yet have it.

Re: The Clinic Model Thread

There aren't too many photos of the Clinic Model in circulation wearing it's yellow paint so it was cool to get this new (old) one:

Re: The Clinic Model Thread

Nope - it came from scans someone sent me of a French magazine's reprint of the original AutoCar F1 road test. There's one other new photo in this version of the article showing them fixing the test equipment to XP4 with Gordon Murray looking on that I'll put up here somewhere soon.

Re: The Clinic Model Thread

I feel stupid asking this, what exactly is the clinic model? I realize that it is a very early F1, but what exactly is it? Was it a development car to test design features that didn't make it to the production car? Is there any connection between 'clinic' and 'Uneo Clinic'?

Re: The Clinic Model Thread

Think of the Clinic Model as a full scale, non-functional, static model of the F1. Rather than retype it all, you will find an expanded version of that answer in this thread:

Clinic Model - Singapore Intl Motor Show in 1992

Also there is no relation between "Ueno Clinic" and the "Clinic Model" - just a coincidence in the naming.
