i checked and saw the radio fuse was blown after i tried to jump start it.

Sounds almost the same as when my BCM went, except I was lucky and the car would run, just nothing else worked properly, and i had a parasitic load.

Im thinking about tackling this issue myself instead taking it to the dealer, does anyone know where i can get a factory service repair manual for my car from?

Re: 02 impala ls, no crank, no interior lights, headlights, bad bcm?

I am having the same problem myself...

The biggest problem being that my car does not start...

The car already has a bypass on it, and it will not start even after matching up the resistance measured on it... It will not start w/ the "relearn" feature (placing key on for 10 min increments)...

When it ran the lights went nuts, the security light would come on, just freaky electrical stuff.

So my question is to you guys, since I know that I can not do the relearn procedure, and the bypass will also not work. The car will just not start no matter what I do... I will probably have to replace the BCM, right?

If so, can someone point me to the right direction. (I have a feeling the problem is the BCM here). Where can I attain a new one? And where is the existing one located in the car?

You can buy one in many places (Cant think of any except Rock Auto) but it will need to be programmed with a tech II scanner (Most likely have to go to a dealer, or your mechanic might have one). It is located right above the parking brake pedal, black box with 2 grey and 1 Pink connector going into it.
