Very nice work, and excellent finish!
Love you color combination too.

But I am curious about the big hole in the hood... Was there a reason?

I don't think I'd feel too safe in those seatbelts, but lovely build and finish. Really liking your weathering skills you've put into the chassis & exhaust.

Re: Another Finished car. - Shelby GT 500 - Revell

nice work on that GT500!

and iirc, isn't that kind of hood what's called a "shaker" hood? the hole on the hood's so that the air filter can get more air.

Re: Another Finished car. - Shelby GT 500 - Revell

A shaker hood would have a scoop mounted to the top of the engine and would come through a hole in the hood.
But there is no scoop mounted to the aircleaner.

And the GT500 didn't have a shaker hood.
It did have lots of vents in it but not a hole in the top of the hood like that.

LOL dood I was gonna say. "That doesn't appear to be the face of the car I had in mind." I'm still not sure tho cuz it looks like the car can pull it off upside down lol.

Anyway, great build.
