can a 350z beat a subaru wrx not an STI?

this will be a close race, the 350z will with for 0-60 but the WRX has better start of because of the AWD and faster 1/4

The first car I raced in my Z was a stock wrx and i was in my Z we both had stock cars. I also had an extra passager. I had a bad launch (damn those stock tires) and he had a car length on me from the start. Be both shifted to second around the same time and I started to pull on him. By the time we were in third I had pulled a car length on him.

So yes even with a bad start and him having a good one (bastard was practicing for awhile with his car when we made the "appointment")
The Z will beat a wrx pretty easy. If someone with highspeed wants to IM me i can give you the vid to post.

Had a hell of a view from the top of a 7 story building and an in car from my Z. I'm stuck with dial up here in hill billy country.

dude that info still says that the 350z only pulls a 14.5 in the 1/4 mile. no. i havent even seen an automatic that slow. the AF Z pulled a 13.6 in stock form to the best of my knowledge. i have seen a 6 speed get beat by a manual M3 by only a car length. m3's are supposed to run low 13's arent they???? im not saying that the 350z will kill the WRX sedan but i think it will beat it without a question.

you can keep this argument going for as long as you want but it stil doesnt change opinions and actually races as stated above by otter.

AWD is best but RWD is much more fun.
Displacement isn't everything but I6's and V6's unless severly underpowered will run all over 4 Bangers, unless they're American for some reason, we can't make a good NA V6...

I love Rally cars, but they're just that, Rally cars. A Sports car is a different class and will always inspire the passion of an enthusiast.


As a sports car would never win a Rally race, a Sports car with equal time spent doing as much as possible to the car will never loose to a Rally car.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to catch hell from people for this. Don't bother, this is just my personal feelings and opinions, there are always exceptions to everything.

I have a 03 350 and eat wrx all models for lunch all day long. The only people who think a wrx is faster are those who own one and have spent to much time reading ads put out by Subaru and not enough time behind the wheel. Turbo smurbo that's like saying "but I have v-tech". Some cars need all the help they can get due to poor engine designs, and then compensate by saying "oh, look how fast it is in the dirt". Unless you cant drive to save your life that wrx is a memory.

hey guyz, i have an 03 wrx and a 350Z is faster stock on stock and idk what magazine said that we can beat srt4's and s2000's but they are lyin out the butt unless they are talkin about the 2009 wrx's maybe... but my wrx, w/ just a turbo-back exhaust and tune gave me +53 whp and i now have 285 at the crank, it seems kinda ridiculous but our cars come stock w/ 3 catalytic converters so just getting rid of them is beneficial... my good friend has a twin turbo 350z and he told me to help u guyz out w/ this topic ... btw it is pretty close tho stock vs stock so practice ur launching and shifting skills b4 hand, and smack him for me if he calls bs when u win!

and what crawled up ur butt and bit? turbos are very different from vtec lol and idk how u can say that a 4 cyl. 2.0 is a crap motor when w/ "just a turbo" u beat 3.2 v6 vw r32 which are also awd... and yeah we are only ok in the dirt, its not like subaru hasnt won every world rally championship since 2000... if u wanna c fast subarus look at www.crawfordperformance.com
