Most people couldn't read or write back then, so they would have to tell the story to someone who could.

I'm not really questioning anyones faith, or if God (or whatever entity you choose) does or does not exist. Mainly questioning peoples trust that other people wrote the book accurately. Are accounts correct?

The problem is, even though it is "written", interpretation can be very different from place to place and person to person. For example Cinderella 's glass slipper was actually supposed to be the "green slipper" and was translated incorrectly. How many times has the bible been translated/rewritten? Just sayin..... It happens all the time, in every type of story.

Re: I'm just curious...

We have ample evidence to back up (completely independant) of the begining of the universe, that being matter and anti-matter in an ultra-high presure, ultra-high temperature, and became unstable.

There is zero evidence to suggest otherwise.

Untill then, we are a byproduct of the nature of evolution.

Show it to us. The beginning of the universe, according to you started with matter and antimatter in a high temp/ high pressure environment. If so that is not really the beginning, the antimatter and matter had to come from somewhere as did the environment.

Re: I'm just curious...

I never said there was a god although it is my belief that there is one I was simply picking apart Davo's statement.

This is what I was referring to when I said, "Show it to us." sorry for the misunderstanding.

Is it just me or should this thread be combined with The 'Inteligant Design' Website thread from COMPLETELY off-topic threads: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=908452
