You can not use black tape for a band aid and expect it to work right or seal up. Remove the transmission pan and filter. Take a small chiesel and catch the steel lip on seal from the side and drive it in sideways enought to lossen up old seal and pull it out. A 7/8 - 15/16 to 1 in socket turned over makes a good new seal installer. Do it right the first time and you will not have to undo it and do it over. Good Luck MT

You're Right...i Shouldn't Have Used Tape To Fix That Problem. Ok...i'll Try What U Advised. I Found A Chisel And Some Other Tools That Might Help To Get That Seal Out. I'll Work On It Today If Weather Permits. And I'll Let U Know How It Runs.

Re: 93 c1500 tranny trouble
I Found Out What Series Tranny I Got..60 Series. I Retaped The Wiring And Found Out Which Wire Was What And What It Went To. There Were Five Wire Damaged And They Were Red/blk, Purple, Tan/blk, Light Blue/white, And The Other Looked To Be Black Or Some Other Dark Color. The Tan/blk Wire I Believe Goes To The Tcc Solenoid Was Heavly Damaged And Might Need To Be Rewired. Test Drove It In Od For Awhile And Noticed It Wanting To Shift Into Overdrive With Little Acceleration If It Could Only Get Past 3rd Gear. Going To Replace Fluid Today And Try And Replace Seal. Wish Me Luck And Hope This Works.....
